The Heron's method, also known as the Babylonian square root algorithm, is an ancient algorithm used to approximate the square root of a number. It involves repeatedly averaging a guess with the original number divided by the guess until the guess converges to the actual square root. This method is efficient and converges quickly, making it a popular choice for calculating square roots. It is named after the ancient Greek mathematician Heron of Alexandria, who first described this method. **
